How to effectively coach fundamental skills
Whether you're a futureFern or a Silver Fern, learning and performing fundamental skills is vital to the success of individual and team performance. Graeme Robson currently works with our Coaches on the higher level PCQ Programme (Performance Coach Qualification) and we're extremely fortunate to have him share his knowledge and innovative coach approaches with our community coaches at grassroots level. This session is open to all who want to grow their coaching skillset to be able to extend their players and provide more challenging and engaging sessions.
Graeme Robson has been involved with high performance sport for over 45 years, first as an international athlete and sport scientist before moving on to become National Coach for Badminton New Zealand for 7 years. He then transitioned into the NZ High Performance sport system initially working at the NZ Academy of Sport North Island as Coach Support Manager before it became part of High Performance Sport NZ. He has recently retired but still retains a huge passion for helping coaches coach skill and decision making across a variety of sports, including Netball which he has been associated with since 2003.
