As we near the end of our competition for the 2021 season, this also means Prizegiving is around the corner!

Each year we welcome nominations from clubs & schools for our NWC Special Awards.  Despite current lockdown restraints, this year will be no different as we'd still like to acknowledge the good stuff that's been accomplished this year.

Nominations are open for the following awards:

• Team Award 2021
  A Senior grade team, who presents itself each week in a professional manner, has a sense of fair play and commitment to the game.
• Fair Play Award 2021
  A person who abides by the rules of netball and embodies sportsmanship, fairness, ethical behaviour and courtesy when interacting with teammates, opponents and officials etc and displays grace in victory or defeat.
• Club Administrator of the Year
  A club administrator who displays the following qualities: reliability, commitment, loyalty and action orientated.
• Coach of the Year
  A coach who displays the following qualities: inspiring, extending, developing and encouraging players to achieve their highest potential.
• Coach of the Year – Developing Players 2021
  A development coach who displays the following qualities: inspiring, extending, developing and encouraging players towards achieving their maximum potential.
• Volunteer of the Year
  A volunteer who contributes their time of their own free will, unpaid and whose help has greatly benefited your netball community.
• Club Uniform 2021
  A club whose members take pride in their appearance and who consistently present themselves in correct attire embodying club unity.

Criterion for each award also features in the nomination forms accessible here - PDF or Word. If you or anyone within your club/school knows someone who fits the bill then be sure to send nominations through. The more nominations for each, the better!

We want to ensure we are rewarding appropriately so please be certain to let your people know that nominations need to be endorsed for sign-off by your Club Secretary/Captain OR School Sports Coordinator/Netball Convenor before being sent to us at gm@netballwellington.co.nz by 5pm Monday 30^th August (deadline extended thanks to lockdown).
