Netball Central Zone oversees the promotion, development and growth of netball in the region.  The Zone encompasses Hawkes Bay, Manawatu-Whanganui, Taranaki and the Wellington region.  Along with 13 netball centres we work together to actively promote and encourage participation in netball. 

We currently have a vacancy for our Central Manawa National Netball League Team Manager for the 2021 season.

We are seeking interest from interested and suitably experienced managers to interview and appoint to the above position.

Central Manawa Team Manager

The National Netball League was launched in April 2016 and is the second tier of our national, domestic netball competition.   It is fundamental to strengthening Netball New Zealand's performance pathway, to the development of our talented athletes and to the competitiveness of Netball New Zealand's elite teams.

The Central Manawa Team is an important part of Netball Central Zone's High Performance pathway. It is the team to which sub-elite netballers in the Central Zone aspire and where they begin to make a claim for a contracted position within the Pulse.  Accordingly, the role of Team Manager is highly significant in providing a challenging but supportive performance environment for our sub-elite players to achieve peak performance as they embark upon a professional netball career. 

Netball Central Zone is seeking someone who will be primarily responsible for overseeing the health and welfare of team members, working alongside the coaching and support services staff to ensure we can put the best possible team on court for every game.   With the support of Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse team management, s/he is responsible for the smooth functioning of the team which includes the logistical arrangements around team training, travel and outfitting; fund raising and financial arrangements pertaining to authorised expenditure on behalf of the team.
